Chemical.....Deodorant

Just curious......I know most of us if not all, put toilet chemical or deodorant in the black tank.
My question is: Does anyone put anything in their grey tank, which would be chemical in a liquid form.

Thanks
Dre
  • Black tank I can see because you open the valve and the smell can waft out; but grey tank should always have a water seal between you and the tank so no smell enters the coach. If you have a bad smell in your coach from grey water THEN YOU HAVE A PLUMBING PROBLEM that needs to be addressed.
  • I wonder how folks that say no odor operate the bath fan. They must turn off the bath fan, and any other fan, till all air flow stops before flushing. I can operate my fan in either direction and speed, but there is no perfect answer so anti-stink chemicals go in the tank.

    This in the black tank.

This once a month in the gray tank to de-grease the sides and sensors.

Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day 32 oz.
    Lemon Verbena Multi-Surface Concentrate Cleaner

My sensors work ALL the time.

Lemon Verbena? Sounds like something they push around on the desert cart lol.

There are no smell in my camper. I just thought that after a while, there are residue that will stick to the walls of the grey tank, and there must be a product that should get rid of those.

First of all, I don't put anything in my black tank but water. I have never had any odors. As far as the grey tank, I would assume that bath soap and dish soap going in there would keep it odor free. Unless you are putting food scraps down the drain, which I make sure I do not, I can't see anything that would cause a smell. If I have questionable liquids from cooking, I always put them down the toilet.

And that just means all the grease etc will stick to the sensors in the black tank instead of the gray!! :B

Not all of that stuff will come out when you empty the tank. Stuff will stick to the grey tank walls and eventually cause a smell.

As for the black tank.......My $%^& smells and putting chemical does help.

    X2
    Exactly!

And for those that are the nay sayers? That is also why your sensors don't work.
