Chevy confirms 2016 Suburban HD with new engine for fleets

Story Here. Let's hope they offer this to the general public, with an 11,000 lb GVWR it will make a nice vehicle for that big family towing that big trailer. Ben, might be time to replace that 1...

No, J2807 changes that. The New SAE standard establishes performance at max GCWR. The concern is that the old standard of GCWR - weight of truck - 150lb driver overstated tow ratings. The new formula is GCWR-GVWR.

Makes sense that GVWR is that high if these are being up-armored....I don't recall ever seeing a secret service Suburban towing anything.
