2008 Silverado 2500hd towing 11 - 12,000lbs 11 mpg. Empty 15.5 mpg. I removed the emissions equipment before 10,000 miles! And I run 60 mph towing.
It has not seen the inside of the dealership since I bought it. I change the fluids and filters on schedule and grease the front end every 10,000.
I Love this truck! The duramax engine is a towing dream, but teamed with the Allison transmission - makes it even better! I only have 80,000 on the truck now - I plan to keep it forever!
