Chevy LT4 6.2L V8 with 457 lb-ft of torque just off idle !

According to GM, the LT4 offers 457 lb-ft of torque just off idle and twists the crank at 625 lb-ft as quick as 2,800 rpm. It also maintains 90 percent of its peak torque from 2,500 to 5,400 rpm. ...

200 hp with your foot mashed to the floor lugging at 1100 rpm isn't going to seem like a tow beast to the driver. But it wouldn't be bad for sure.

I'm not sure why folk keep referring to wide open throttle as 'just off idle'. It's anything but that.
