Pretty sorry, when even the "GM Authority" doesn't understand the issue or mis-represents it.
What they should have said is that the spare tire is a smaller diameter than the other tires.
Virtually, mutually exclusive of rim size as long as the rim fits on the truck, which it does, because some models still come with 17s.
I bet the trucks with 20s and 22s don't have 20 and 22" rim size spares...
