Any one had a bad sensor in the def tank & had replaced.? My 2012 with 34000 m getting a new sensor & tank tomorrow . Comeing back Sunday from Lake Benbrook on I20 got the low def warning that in x miles going to reduce speed to 65, no low def warning just went straight to no def warning. Makes we wish for my 2003 with no def.

I believe GM has had more trouble with DEF tanks than the others.

I believe the 11-12 s seemed the most vulnerable ,the newer 14-15 seem pretty troublefree for that issue.

I had the def tank replaced on my 2013 Chevy at about 35,000 miles, the heater went bad.

Its part of the emission so has longer warranty. My son has a 13 & just last month his sensor also went south, new tank. Really dumb design that sensor not replaceable, requires tank change.

I bet Ram/cummins wished they had equipped their trucks with those troubled DEF tanks in their 2010-2012 2500/3500 trucks. It's going to get really nasty for them in the $$$$ department.

don't know if it is a good buy or not but yesterday at Sams club I saw they sold a 55 gallon? drum of DEF for about $559.

Well guess it means all trucks are piles of shizz. Heard about a problem with all 3 brands now in the first page.

That means 1 gallon of DEF will cost $10.89

Whereas:

WalMart sells their DEF in Blue Def and runs $8.38 for 2.5 gallons. That's $3.35 a gallon. (55 gallons would cost $167.50 plus tax).

And Supertech Diesel Exhaust Fluid runs 7.88 for 2.5 gallons. That's $3.15 a gallon. (55 gallons would cost $157.50).

I'll stick with the WalMart and the 2 and 1/2 gallon jugs.
