Chicken Tax Finally Being Phased Out
Recent free trade agreements with 40 nations around the world will effectively roll back the Chicken Tax. We probably won't see a ton of foreign trucks rush in, but it opens the door. Link

According to the article, Thailand still has the option of joining and they've expressed interest. Other nations also have the option of joining.
I think Thailand has a FTA with the US, that could be one reason to join. Personally I do not see much change either way, except a new Global launch of a Pickup Truck could include North America
