I posted it for the newbies! Hopefully it will get a few from believing the "you can tow anything" with your 250/2500 folks. - MtwoodsonExplorerThe topic has been hashed and rehashed many times already. But if even only one person learns something from the video it did some good.
- 2oldmanExplorer IISmart man, well done. This topic wouldn't be hashed over so many times if more people simply understood and paid attention to those ratings.
- ib516Explorer III thought the video was very well done. Yes, it's plain to see the 250 was overloaded, but many don't bother to check. I give the guy kudos.

Wow, I didn't realize how ignorant most rvers were until I read this thread. Now I know there are millions of us who just didn't know that by looking at the fifth wheel in the video that it needed a 350 instead of a 250.
Why do you think there are so many threads on this forum about weight? :h
If you can't tell by looking at the front of his tow vehicle I'd suggest a new pair of glasses.
No ...he can't tell just by looking and neither can you or I.
Hell his new DRW sags in the butz also just like the over loaded F250. Guess we all need glasses.
With or without glasses the youtuber simply had too much trailer from the git go for a 3/4 ton truck.
The youtuber has supplied some before and after fishy numbers and it says his F250 truck is over RAWR wich includes the trucks rear spring pack/and maybe 17" tires and wheels.
The numbers are all even weight numbers and sound like he was estimating his separate axle weight numbers like the 4858 front and 6350 rear axle weights or the 4700/3400 empty weight numbers. Scale weights come in 20 lb increments.
We can all post you tubes to support our theories or ideas or to make a point. However this point of this youtube gets beat to death weekly by the DRW only crowd.
Hell I was just looking at some that the youtuber(s) had too much truck.
Some folks like to stir kettle on occasion. :D
Disagree. When the front of the truck appears to be 6" higher than the back and then I see what appears to be a 40' RV attached, I know that RV is too much trailer for that truck. I don't own a dually, never have and never will so I don't fall into that crowd. I have a 3/4 ton and although it's a great tow vehicle for my 28' 7000 lb. fiver, I'd never ever even think of hooking that huge fiver depicted in that video to my truck. - JIMNLINExplorer III

- jerem0621Explorer IIGood post Cummins.
Kudos to the guy putting himself out there and making a video. Many of us have done the same thing, progressing through the tow vehicles until we get the right one.
I didn't like my Dually, yet my signature says I'm saving for another.... Why? Because to RV the way we want to we need a Dually.
Thanks!
