I did call Can-Am and had a lengthy discussion with one of their towing specialists. They even sent me pics of their Minivan like mine they use to pick up and deliver trailers. Specifically how to reinforce the hitch. I still have the pic but Photobucket locked down my account.
I agree with a lot of what Can Am says and some of their philosophies I adopted. I’m telling ya, that pup towed behind my van like it was on rails. Maybe the looseness in the van is due to just age. There are a lot of interior panels on a Minivan. Especially with roof air and overhead consoles.
Here is an interesting article from Hitch Hints about an accident Can-Am had with a Chrysler 300 towing a 30 ft Airstream. They broadsided a car that pulled out in front of them.
