Cigarette Smoke

Nope, not going to happen. Wife and I were at CarMax looking at cars. Opened one and you could IMMEDIATELY tell it was a smoker's car. No hiding that nasty smell.

So I'd say barring a miracle (not going to happen) it will reek like a bar.

Pass on it. Don't put the goggles on as me and my friends always tell each other when we go to buy something. If the dealer is telling you it stinks then it must be bad

If the dealer told you about the smell, it's probably really bad.
I wouldn't bother making the drive, especially 180 miles.
You know it's going to stink.

I might disagree with some. I bought a used Jeep that had been smoked in. Dealer promised (in writing) to negate the smell. Now a Jeep is obviously smaller then a TT, and in a TT with the mattress and carpet you might have issues.

But what they used was Room Shocker™ ClO2 Odor Eliminator Quick Release Vapor I honestly wasn't sure it would work. But I ran the gizmo as per the instructions and I'll be damned you can not smell even the faintest smell now, even on a 110 degree day when it's closed up.

Now would I buy a TT that was smoked in? I'm not sure, but if they desmoke it first before it's too cool outside I might consider it. Otherwise I'd say walk away.

Walk away, cig smoke is one of the most difficult smells to get rid of.

Not only the smoke but tar and other leftovers of second hand smoke will have coated every inch of paneling, drawers, cabinets along with every nook can cranny..

One of the most disgusting things I hated back in the days of repairing consumer electronics was when a customer who was a heavy smoker brought in a TV or stereo.. It smelled up the shop and it coated everything not only on the outside but the inside.. Took a lot of hard work to clean up and still smelled, but at least when I was done the customer thought it was a new unit..

There ARE a "surplus" of used RVs, in other words there are more used RVs than buyers, go and find one that was not smoked in.. You WILL be happier.

White distilled vinegar. Fill a few small bowls with it and set them in the trailer for a couple days. Smell will be gone.

I had to evacuate during the Rim fire a couple years ago. Luckily, my house was spared, but EVERYTHING smelled like smoke. The vinegar fixed it. I seriously thought we were going to have to throw away all our clothing and bedding. Not to mention carpets and whatnot. Firefighter buddy told me about the vinegar. Works like magic.

And cigarette smoke doesn't hold a candle to smoke from an actual forest fire

It's not just the smell that's bad. It actually coats the walls and ceiling orange. We had that experience with a motorhome, and a house. I would advise against it.

If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke, you will not be happy. Though some are not bothered by it, many find it quite irritating.

It is amazing how difficult it is to remove for those who are sensitive.

Cigarette smoke and Cat pee are two things I just can't tolerate. Absolute deal breakers for me..
