Fresh water gravity fill inlet location is usually dictated by where the fresh water tank may also be located ... with the last 3 trailers we've owned that FW inlet on 2 of them has been on the curb side of the trailer where I in fact prefer it to be. :) All other services have always been located on the street side where they belong, regardless of where the tanks or "biffy" may be located ... can't imagine any reason for locating these on the curb side. :h If that's not the case on yours then the solution seems obvious to me - run the necessary hose so you can reach that port. ;)
