  • Here is a list of Ford approved oil, the new CK-4 Rotella T6 oil is not on the list. This may be the first time that a change in the letters is a downgrade. Thank you government regulations.

  • Just received from Amsoil my order of 5W40 Signature Series MaxDuty diesel oil. It happens to meet CK-4/CJ-4 specs. I checked the spec sheet, am I missing something?

Hope you have already bought the CJ-4 Rotella. If it is in the new bottle it could be CK-4 that was labeled as CJ-4. Go to slide 7 and it will tell when they were putting CK-4 in the bottles but not changing the labeling.Rotella
  • Stick with a CK-4 API oil and avoid a CK-4/SN oil for now.

Popular 15W40 CK4 oils that do not have reduced Zinc/Phos:

    Motorcraft
    Connoco Phillips
    Rotella
    Valvoline Premium Blue

Popular 15W40 CK4/SN oils that have reduced Zinc/Phos because they're dual rated for both Diesel and gas (SN):

    Delo
    Delvac
  • I bought some extra cases when Costco discounted the CJ-4 heavily to make the transition to CK-4. I have enough to last me a few years.
