Anyone thinking a truck is a good crash vehicle is sadly mistaken. The fact is the Truck has a frame that does NOT compress like a car/suv. I was hit from behind sitting still in 05 by a Honda Pilot the lady hit me doing 30+ her rig was totaled my truck needed a new hitch, bumper and tweek the frames rear "C" channels.
I had a SEVERE whiplash and 3 bulging disks in my neck and also lower back issues. Still suffering from neck problems. If I was in a car I would not have been hurt nearly as bad.
BTW the Lady's air bag did not go off and she broke her sternum.
I absorbed the impact NOT the truck!
The RAM is not even close to being totaled! Don't forget diminished value when settling!!!
