Does it really matter?
It's just a run-of-the-mill Dodge truck. It's not like it's a Hellcat or anything collectable or really valuable.
I don't think anyone will care if it has been wrecked in the past. It's just a utility vehicle that is constantly losing value, destined for the scrap heap in a few years. By that time, will it have really mattered if it was severely scrunched by a 30 year old motorhome?
Again...just because manufacturers and dealers are easily able to rip people off for massive amounts of money nowadays for a new Dodge pickup doesn't mean the trucks truly have any lasting real value (or more than a few year desirability) beyond being just a work truck or the current year's en vogue trailer tower.
...again, it's just a truck. A Dodge at that. Hell, it's not even a Dodge...it's a Fiat.
Lol Harold! How many whiskys for this post? Comparing it to a Hellcat, well you couldn't be more off there. Hellcats are not rare and new zooted up deezul pickups cost just as much as them.....actually holding their value better too right now.
And if you don't believe in diminished value then put your money where your mouth is and buy it from the man for 100% full retail once it's fixed.....site unseen.
In the past, you were right. Good bodywork job meant the buyer couldn't see what happened so paid full price thinking it was never wrecked. With the advent of Carfax for those who don't know jack about vehicles, diminished value became a real, real thing.
