The only difference between a properly repaired salvage titled vehicle and a properly repaired carfax vehicle is who paid for the repair. Both pieces of paper indicating the vehicle was in a wreck. I will leave it at this. I am surprised some are debating the fact consumers will and do pay less when deciding between similar choices but one is known to have had significant repairs.
BTW I have purchased salvage titled vehicles that were very good and also vehicles with not so clean carfaxes that were very good. But consumers purchasing behavior is well documented and these vehicles on average are valued lower than comparable choices.
