Classifieds? Want to list two TT's for sale....

Hi, I'm wondering why the "classified" button is not working. Is there a place on here to list a TT for sale? Thanks to anyone who can help me out with this :)

  • Having a "Classified" section would take away the fun of seeing how creative our forum members can be. Examples: "Where oh where will I ever sell my 2009 F-350 crew cab with 40,000 miles." Or "I just purchased a new camper and have no need for my 2010 28BXL Cruiser travel trailer. I hope it finds a good home as it is in excellent condition." Just kidding, but I have seen some ads disguised even better than that. I sure hate to pay storage on a set of Timbrens and a Prodigy brake controller again this year.
  • Yes we did have a "classified" section that was SUPPOSED to be for forum users several years ago, but not long after it was introduced, it was taken over by commercial RV companies trying to sell their trailers. It required way too much moderation to allow to continue so it was cut out.

Too bad they did not remove the "classified" link at the top. I complained about it but nothing was ever done. :R

Curious that a forum doesn't offer a place to buy/sell

    Good Sam Enterprises.

They own this forum and Camping World, along with Good Sam.

Guess as Camping World sells campers and accessories they don't want them here.

    Can't say I blame them.
  • After hanging around here for about 9 years, I never considered mentioning the fact that we were selling Rocky as effectively an advertisement. Got fussed at and Mod deleted....my own fault for not thinking it through. It would be nice to have a section, but since there isn't one, suggest starting with craigslist, maybe ebay and your local newspaper. Be advised that there are plenty of loonies with nothing better to do than spend the day on CL....use extreme caution because they will try every trick in the book to get personal info including home or work email. Don't give out ANY pertinent info until you feel very, very sure this is a genuinely interested buyer who can complete the transaction if the deal comes together. Don't fall for the "it's easier to get me on my home email" or vice versa. Stay with CL email....works just fine. Good luck. We did sell both of ours on CL and both took about 3 weeks.
  • NOPE........

Classified section was discontinued long ago. Links just haven't been completed removed.

Craigs List, RVT.com, RVTrader.com, local paper classified and I think Escapees and IRV2 have classified sections for members
