Folks on here where questioning your posts because of those misstatements 2010 vs 2008 DPF vs DEF.
Now that you have the correct info...2008 and no DEF it does in fact have a DPF.
The message means it needs that the filter is sooted up and needs a regen. Driving it at highway speeds for 20-30 mins should clean it up
