- Tom_BarbExplorerI watched the whole vid, I was impressed with the tow truck drivers and how unprepared they were. One truck couldn't get its cables out and the statement was made it was bad yesterday too.
then the same truck blew a big leak from the pump.
Then each compartment they opened was a mess, tangled up straps, bundled cables and equipment all intermixed.
Doesn't any one do preventive maintenance any more. - Tom_BarbExplorerI'd wager his next truck is a dually. :)
- Grit_dogNavigatorRVnet CSI trainwreck thread of the week here gents. Mods should close this one.

I pray in reality you're really smart enough not to kill someone; because that statement represents a pretty irresponsible attitude for a big rig driver.
Once that point is crossed, I'm coming through the intersection no matter what color the light is. - 2oldmanExplorer II

x2. And CA has plenty of them. All they will do is put up a near-useless sign that says "hey, there's a signal up ahead."
I hate these high speed routes with traffic lights. Either put up signs well back warning that the light will be red when I get there, or build ramps for the opposing traffic to merge.
Yeah, I can see that. - cummins2014Explorer

It is, but very few trucks and RVs are obeying that.
And I believe the speed limit for this stretch of highway is 55 for anything pulling a trailer.
I do obey the 55, highway 10 going to Indio, I get passed by about every truck, and RV.
Heck any faster on that highway, and its too hard to dodge all the bad road :) - mich800Explorer

He ran red even if he saw yellow. Vehicle at a dead stop approaching would not have hit or at least hard.
You are assuming the other vehicle was at a complete stop initially. And even if it wasn't even slower speed collisions can create spectacular damage at the right angles. - cbshoestringExplorer IIDoesn't seem likely that I will get an answer to my questions, so I might as well add my armchair remarks.

Four lane highways crossing one another is STUPID.
Try approaching one of these with 50,000 strapped to the deck. Even at a slower, cautious speed, there is a go...no-go point. Once that point is crossed, I'm coming through the intersection no matter what color the light is. - 2oldmanExplorer II

Driver said he couldn't stop "in time"......My post is about warning drivers of a light change. Tell me why that's garbage.
The only interesting post......5th wheel hitch......Otherwise...all garbage posts are here!!!
Perhaps because someone peed in RinconVTR's Wheaties this morning?
