I travel with the wife and two kids, routinely driving 7-12 hour days on 5-6 days of a 2-3 week trip.
However we have to stop every 90-120 minutes for gas, which I am including in this total drive time. It actually is a blessing in disguise because I never have any "emergency" stops and we get a consistently timed stretch.
We have a system...a routine...and it works for us like clockwork.
