Today, we signed the papers and put money down. We have traded off our Class C MH, and will pick up an Airstream trailer on 4/27. I have a question.With the MH, I parked and set the parking brake. The trailer does not have parking brakes. I know to use chocks, but what if one of the sides is up on blocks? How do I chock a tire on blocks?Thanks,Bobbo

Regular chocks on the opposite side from the side that is lifted. OR Anderson levelers for lifting act as a chock in combination with regular chocks on the opposite side. I use those. Makes it easier to unhitch the TT.

Single axle, look into the BAL leveler with a hydraulic impact gun (I'm using Rigid Stealth Force but a few manufacturers have them now), it's super easy to use, doesn't require moving the tow vehicle, and acts as a mega chock. The gun isn't technically necessary but if you have to raise the low side more than a few inches you'll get tired of using a ratcheting wrench.

For leveling I have used a length of board under the low side tires along with a chock under each tire. One in front and one in back.I've also got 2 bags of Lynx leveling blocks and 2 of thier Lynx tire chocks that interlock with the blocks. I've also got 2 of their caps that go on top of the blocks to create a flat surface for the tires to rest on.

x2 for the Anderson. It will work just great on a single axle trailer. It's one of the best extras I've invested in.

You're not paying attention :R ... the OP says his new Airstream Sport 22FB is a single axle. :W That being the case there's no reason he can't chock & level using a BAL Leveler to securely chock & level the low side tire, a BAL Single Tire Chock to securely chock the high side tire. Simple & Secure. :B

I use a board under the tires long enough to use chocks also. I would never rely on chocking only one side.

The Lynx Leveler blocks that I use kinda has a spot in the middle of them that the wheel whats to roll into and stay.

I also chock the side that is on the blocks too. The chocks set at a angle and don't wedge in there very well but , it the trailer were to begin to roll they would be in place to stop it from going more then a inch or two.

I would higly recommend chocking both sides since a trailer can pivot on one side depending on terrain.
