Commercial registration on New Truck Questions

Throughout the mid-west ... Ohio, Indiana, Illinois ... the interstate weight scales usually post "commercial trucks over XXX pounds" A pick-up with a camper, no matter how it's titled and licensed, would never go through the scales.
