Not necessary to skip the TP part. If you want to spend the $$ for "RV Toilet Tissue", fine. But you can accomplish the same thing for lots less money with using a cheapie, single ply paper. To test and make sure it's ok, take a glass jar with water, put a piece of the paper inside and give it a shake. If the paper begins to dissolve and pull apart, you're fine. Yuk! on the trash basket! We used TP with our HTT for going on 8 seasons and now with our TT. Never had problems....actually don't know anyone who has had any. The secret ingredient to the whole process is a good black water treatment product and plenty, plenty of water. Lack of water is the culprit.
