company web sites

I've been looking into a new truck. The web sites the truck companies have out there seem pretty hard to navigate.
For example, when I get to the engine choice for GM, the site just freezes and I can't continue. Ram's web site is hard to find info about tow capacities, packages, etc. After visiting a LARGE dealer yesterday, I was told the brochures that used to be available are becoming obsolete, and to visit (what else?) the web site. Today, the Ram site just stopped. Maybe I've over used my allotted visits.
Something else I noticed was the "build & price" quote is often 10K to 14K less then what dealers show their prices to be. I know there are transport, prep, and just because costs, but there is a pretty good gap.
On a second note, keep the Ram 6.4 info coming!!!
  • I have to agree with the cumbersome websites these automakers use. To add, the Ford mobile/tablet site is next to useless.
  • The issue you are experiencing with the website is a popup appears to indicate what other equipment will be selected automatically when selecting the Duramax. The popup has a continue button.

Therefore, you will need to change your browser setting to allow a popup from this website.

The GM site does the same thing to me as well. You get to the engine choice, click on duramax plus package and you can go no further, it has been that way for weeks.

In other news, GM announced a recall affecting it's website...:W
