I'm going to weigh in on the dating thing, as a female (probably older than you, but not dead).
If I liked someone, and knew the reasons behind the move, I would not be put off by the truck camper thing. MANY people in NYC and other HCOL areas are living in house share situations, boats, etc. I don't think your setup is any more strange than that.
You do want to make sure your TC is tidy and organized and smells good.
