Conflicting information in my E350 owners manual

I am looking for opinions on the attached excerpt from my Econoline owners manual. First paragraph instructs not to tow trailers in excess of 70 mph during first 500 miles of towing. Third paragrap...

Not sure about "after the fluid change" but I towed within the first 500 miles with my 2500 Silverado and had rear end howl on deceleration until I traded it.
