You haven't mentioned a hitch. This is an extremely important, often overlooked piece of the puzzle. Your truck is plenty stout enough for the task at hand. Research the Hensley, Propride, Equal-i-zer 4 point, Reese Duam Cam and Blue Ox. With any of those hitches I wouldn't hesitate towing 4000 miles. If you are greatly concerned get one of the first two and rest easy. Keep your speed down and take your time and enjoy the trip and your new life.
