I have a 2008 GMC Yukon Denali. HD tow pkg, air ride AWD with the 6.2l with a 3.42 gear, rated at 7900 lbs tow capacity. Just the wife, me and 3 small dogs. I take out the rear seats, and pack very lite in the Yukon. New Coachman Apex 28ft and 5300 dry weight. I travel without fresh water and have WDH and sway control. I'm within the Yukon and TT load limitations.
Will take our first trip in the NC mountains soon which will give me a good reference point on this towing configuration. This years towing experiences will be the basis to see if I should upgrade...in anticipation of a cross country trip in 2016.
My gut feel on limited towing of this set up is that with the proper set up of wdh and sway bar...and driving defensively at 60-65 max, I think she will work well.
