Here's the reply i received from Jayco. I guess I'm not suprised at all. I can't help but have it bother me however that the roof is only warranted for 12 yes. Then what, spend $5k on a new roof for a trailer that probably isn't worth much more than that. If that. I feel like it's a way to get people to buy new rigs every 12 yrs. More "throw away" products.
My Layton is 27 yrs old and i bet looks better than some rigs that are 10 yrs old. I don't know why it wouldn't even be offered as an option? Keep the caulk joints good and it'll last a very long time as opposed to the new roofs, they get aged, crack, curl or start to lift and you get a small leak somewhere and before you know it, half your rig is rotted out.
I'm sorry for the rant, it's just frustrating. Maybe i should look for an old airstream and refurb that.

We will not be able accommodate you on the aluminum roof.
All Jayco products successfully use a Dicor DiFlex material on top of our Magnum Truss roof system (see Jayco web site).
This product is used from our entry level trailers to our Designer Luxury Fifth Wheels.
I have attached information on the Dicor product as well.
Sorry we cannot supply you with an aluminum roof.
