But heres the kicker, im torn between the 5.0L V8 and the 3.5L EB V6. I know the EB will tow better (athough i doubt as good as my 460), but i question its long term durabilty.
You might be surprised.
97ish 460 260hp/410lb-ft at 2200 rpm
2013ish Ecoboost 365hp/420lb-ft at 2500 rpm
2013ish 5.0 360hp/380ft/lb-ft at 4250 rpm
I only listed the torque RPM.
With more gears in the newer truck it will be easier to use.
I bet money that both of those truck out pull your 460, what you are looking at now is axles/payload and stability.
7500lbs those trucks are not even sweating.
