I’ve done three cross country trips with my 2016 Ford F-250 Space Cab,6.2 ,fwd carrying a Northstar Freedom. I’ve averaged either side of 12 mpg in the 30,000 miles we’ve traveled. I have 3.73 gears. The only time I’ve wanted a diesel is on very steep grades and at high altitudes. The 6.2 has never let us down,just revs a little (lot) higher. Having owned and maintained over 150 diesels in my past life, I would never buy another. The cost of operation,unless you’re in business, is prohibitive.
I’m sure I’ll be receiving incoming flak, but unless you have more than 3,000,000 miles experience, you’re probably not going to convince me otherwise.
