Considering moving from Diesel to Gas...talk me out of it?

Just my opinion but the 6.2 liter does have a lot of power, I don't think it's overkill. In the mountains I believe my transmission is working just as hard. I would love a Diesel truck, but I have had a lot of friends talk me out of it.
