the auto industry used to put out crap, then the idea came about to make a decent produc as Japanese was taking the market.......... the travel trailer industry will eventually change?
as stated in earlier posts, i would have never bought a trailer if i had known the all about them and thir construction before i bought
The TT trailer will never change until there is global competition and that ain't gonna just because of the shipping costs.
There is almost no competition left in the NA RV industry, with Thor Industries inhaling just about every other brand so there's no need to worry about QC.
Not so…
But it’s the American way, let someone else do it, why should I be the one… besides when we buy, we don’t look for quality, we look for flash and flair or color and graphics…
Really the best (or worst) competition is right here, right now... they don’t hold a gun to anyone’s head and force them to buy…
If we don’t demand better, we won’t get better… it’s not the job of foreign manufactures to straighten them out…
Read the forums and every day you can read, I just fix it myself because I do it better, and that seems to be not only ok somehow, but a recommendation…
Almost as often we read in a boasting manner how great it is to spend upwards to $1500/ $2500 replacing and upgrading tires and wheels, and how it’s the smart thing to do… not…
how is it even OK, let alone smart to think you need to upgrade just to feel safe to tow the thing home… something said here…
The smart thing to do is to take the initiative and make the upgrade a condition of sale if it’s that critical or walk…
The smart buyer is in control of the sale always (if they choose to be)…
