I will agree with JIMNLIN on this. I run Cooper tires on my Diesel Excursion with good results.

Put the same tires on my 2000 Ford F250 7.3 Had the SAME issues. I was amazed, thinking there must be something wrong with the tires. I reviewed some posts here with advice given to let the tires break in for a couple thousand miles. Sure enough, settled in and the issue was gone. HOWEVER, I am having a very different more serious issue with these tires. They CAN NOT be overinflated. I wore out the centers on the rear tires, with a PSI of 65 LBS unloaded. Towed about 1000 miles fully loaded at 80 lbs during that time. This happened in the first 10k miles. Argued with the dealer for a long time before they replaced them.

I'm convinced these tires can not run at full pressure

Tire mold "release agent".
Takes a few miles to wear off.

With an f250 sb v8, you might find all you need up front is 55-60 as I do with my red cab c2500.55-60 in rear empty.

Yep...that 70# in rear is OK if hauling/towing but when running empty it is too high.

I run 45# in rear empty and 80# when towing my 5vr.
65# in front all time due to weight on front axle

4 ply versus 6 ply?? If not the same brand of tires or size, your air pressure is most likely not correct.
