Cooper tires

Putting Cooper AT3's on mine this month - $70.00 rebate for a set of 4.

Second set of Cooper AT3's . No issues so far. I also put a set on the wifes Honda.

I've got some Discoverer S/Ts on my Nissan and they seem to be wearing really well. Probably better than the BFG AT/KO's they replaced. They are a little louder and don't have quite the traction on wet roads, though.

I think Cooper makes a good tire that compares pretty favorably with the rest of the higher end tire options on the market.

I don't want any type of lift at all, and wish I had the 18's!!!! There isn't very many tires in the 20's that will fit without some form of lift/leveling kit.

I boondock and take my truck offroad all the time. The tires have never rubbed,but the 275s are only about 1/2" taller than the stock size.

I went up in size strictly for a better tire selection. Until very recently,there were exactly two tires to choose from in the stock 265/70/18 size. The garbage Goodyear SR-A that came on my truck and Michelins A/T2

I replaced the factory GY HTs with a set of Cooper A/Ts and ran them for 30K miles and 8 years and just replaced them with Michlein LTX MS2s from COSTCO. They were a good tire and gave me good service and still had good tread, but replaced them because of age from a safety standpoint. Close to 70% of those 30K miles were towing and within 200lbs of the max load on the rears on my Van.

I just found some nasty spots in the Cooper tires on my Malibu. Looks like the beginning of tread seperation. Will test the warranty this week.

My Michelins were made in USA, some are made in Canada, never seen a made in France tire for years. LOL

But the profits still go to a French owned company.
