I doubt there is much correlation between weight and quality. I would guess quality and TT complexity to be a bigger issue.
Here are over 300,000 TT and 5ver’s built every year, if a significant portion were faulty the industry would collapse.
Now if you want to complain about poor fit, lack of color matching, cheap materials, those are cost driven features. No matter how much quality, skill and care you put into a press board object it is probably not going to hold up a well as a wooden version.
As the automotive industry has taught us, if you want top performance and quality, you can expect to see a sharp increase in prices. In today’s RV hobby market that is not going to sell.
