If you've ever toured an RV plant, you know exactly why a DRV costs more than a Jayco. Heavier materials all around, stronger frames, few if any staples, better workmanship. Designed for the rigors of the road and the demands and preferences of the customer with the deep pockets. If you are not that kind of customer, that's fine, but it's not like they're ripping people off.
You get what you pay for couldn't be more true than with RVs.
