Buy used. Rocket science, eh? My trailer at 25-years of age is and will continue to be in better shape than any of these square wall jokes mentioned here before they reach ten years.
Weight isn't quality, quality would be engineering, design. And then construction.
Updating a post-1996 Airstream is hardly difficult much less expensive. It will be far cheaper in the long run. Right down to needing a TV less expensive to operate.
The OP should consider all options. "Weight" is a distraction.
