Cost to Replace Travel Trailer Awning

I have a 34 foot Rockwood TT that needs the porch awning replaced. It's app 20 feet in length. Any input about the cost of replacement is appreciated. Additionally, is this this a job that can be done yourself or does it require taking the unit in? Thanks
  • I just had mine done a couple of months ago. It cost about $400 for labor and materials. The awning itself was about $200. It doesn't look that difficult, but definitely requires three people to do it safely.
  • Did it my self after watching YouTube video. Wasn't that hard. Use caution letting the tension off springs. Bought the awning material from PPL motor homes 186.00 delivered. Took about 2 hours.
  • Replacement fabric is 150-250, and it's a two man project at home with a friend...
  • Friend helped me change my 18' yesterday. Cost of fabric was $180.00 delivered. Bought at rvawningsmart.com. It appears to be great fabric.

  • I replaced the whole tube and fabric. I was able to use the existing brackets and arms. It was pretty easy, it took my wife and I maybe 1 hr max. I ordered it from a place in Texas, ppl I think.
  • 2400.00 was what it cost me and insurance when my awning got destroyed. That was in 2012.

    Thanks!

  • We had ours replaced, (supplied and installed) for $500 by our local RV dealer.

  • We had our mobile RV repair guy replace our fabric after a hail storm destroyed it. He order the replacement material (same as original) and installed it five days later. It took him about an hour and he charged right around $400 for fabric and labor. This was a 20' awning.
  • You might want to check out CW's website...many options for replacement materials. CW also does the install if you are not comfortable with doing the work yourself.
  • I looked at replacing the fabric on ours, it would run about 300 bucks. There is a good you tube video detailing the job, it can be done in the driveway but you will need a couple of buddies to help.
