In early November we were heading south through La Grande, OR to get to the Valley of Fire in NV. The pass to the north is over 4200' and started getting sketchy (plows were out) - We decided we did not want to deal with it on our return trip since we were towing our enclosed trailer and made a loop of the Olympic Peninsula instead. Be aware there are some elevation changes that can quickly change the weather conditions.
