Cracked Flooring

Went to TT this morning for the first time since last fall. Wife and I have been talking about trading it in for something with a larger Bathroom. So when we arrived and opened the door, we got a big surprise. The flooring had three different areas where it split open about a foot long. WTH. Now I have heard about this happening and I understand why, but jeese I have other things I need to do, now this. DW wants to put down those 12x12 self stick tiles, cause we want to get rid of it. I know thats not going to work, but don't want to put a lot of money into it. If we were going to keep it, it would be different. It's 11 years old and payed for, but trade in value is not going to be very good as it is. So what, maybe I should just suck it up and put something down like allure flooring, or find something cheap. What would you do.
