we need a picture of the cracked mount. First anything cracked will look like its rusting real bad. in fact that is what you look for under cars and trucks. if you see rust on a joint, its either broke or loose.
Did the crack cause the rust? not sure I have seen rust cause a crack, its only got 300 lbs pressure on it.
