In Connecticut the DOT is in love with this chemical they spray on before it snows. Other states like Maine have stopped using it due to how corrosive it is. They use a lot of it. It eats everything. My brother inlaw is a service manager at a dealrship and tells me they have techs that do nothing but replace rotted brake lines. His own GMC truck needed a new frame at 80k miles. This stuff is bad.
I've managed to keep my Dodge mostly free of damage but it has been a chore. Coated the whole underside with Por-15 and touch it up every year. Coat everything with Fluid Film twice a year. Y'all really need to try Fluid Film. Nothing sticks to it and it keeps that green street goo away.
As for Torklift - only had to ever call them once, for a missing part. Got it the next day. With all the free stuff you read about them giving away, the extra parts that get included just because and things replaced when stolen, lost or otherwise not their fault, I too wonder who the OP talked to.
