Hey Robert, do late model diesel trucks in Australia have the same Emissions equipment as US?
Catalyst, EGR, Exhaust fluid injection and Particulate filters.
How much does a Caravan say 8 meters long with the off road suspension like the picture cost?
Thanks
Since Euro 6 has a much higher NOx limit than the US, many of the new engines do not require EGRz with SCR like they do here. The US NOx limit is about the times lower than Euro 6.
We are not running Euro 6 , but many Trucks are now Euro 6, compatible. US Tier regulation cannot be used in Australia unless suitably modified or built to Euro 6 regulations. As it stands more HDT brands are available in Australia than the US
I am not sure why. In regards to diesel emissions, US tier 3 and Euro 6 are nearly identical in CO and PM, however, the NOx limit of US Tier 3 is much lower then Euro 6. Heck, even US Teir 2 had lower NOx limits than Euro 6. This is why US diesel require EGR valves and Euro diesels do not with an SCR system.
