Look at a population density map of Australia, and notice the huge, I mean really huge, areas of very low population density. Now compare that to the US, and it becomes pretty evident why what works in Australia isn't really necessary here, except in a few instances. Here, those trucks would just be mostly posturing, like owning a Hummer.
You can be glad of what's available in your own country without feeling the need to try and feel that others are missing out because they don't have, or need, what you think is so wonderful. It's not superior, just different.
Exactly my point. US is more developed with paved roads and access to emergency services. We don't need such vehicles as we have very little remote frontier land to explore. We are sheltered from these needs and difficulties.
