Clearly Cruiseamerica is comfortable with the liability aspect of this combo, or else the would not rent it out to any Joe off the street with a valid driver's license. It must handle pretty well.
I just want to know what they are doing to make this combination work. Is it an HD payload truck? Is the camper a special lightweight model? What suspension/tire modifications have been made?
If Lance, or whoever is making these campers, can make a fully self-contained hard-sided camper that's light enough to keep an F150 within its ratings to keep Cruiseamerica's bean counters happy, why can't they make them for the rest of us?
I'm just funnin' - that is a nice looking rig for rent - there is often fussin' on this forum the minute someone mentions towing or hauling anything with a 150/1500 "1/2 ton"... when us seasoned pickup truck users know it takes special skill to properly overload a pickup :) :
