LOL the charts shows the repair costs being the same between the gas and diesel. Whens the last time you had to replace injectors on a Hemi, replace and clean the EGR system, replace a turbo, injector pump, DEF system, grid heater, adjust valve lash, EGT sensors, fuel filters, oil leak repairs, water pump, replace dual batteries, service dual radiator's?
And most of these things are items that you are probably not going to service within 5 years of ownership unless you were putting in a lot of miles which in that case all these items are better than replacing a whole engine. However, I know you are just listing them just so you can be like your neighbor. I could list the 10k to replace the fuel system on a Powerstroke, but I don't want to be like you and your neighbor.

Bottom line the Hemi just doesn't have the complexity as the diesel and that directly correlates to less expensive repairs.
And yet you have neither a 6.4L Hemi or a 6.7L Cummins to even be able to provide a reputable opinion on the matter, but here you are being just like your neighbor.

My cousin works on these trucks and that's my source. We purchased a couple of 05 diesels from the dealer he works at which he spotted for us. Which is another reason why we stay away from the DPF equipped diesel trucks for our farm/ranch because we know the long term costs to repair these diesels is something we don't want to deal with and the non DPF diesel's for us maintain a cost effective solution. If given the choice to run DPF diesels or gas trucks for our business gas would be a no brainer.
And I have many technicians from four medium duty Ford dealerships working on Powerstokes. Do you want me to start going out of my way in every Powerstroke thread naming off everything our technicians find wrong with them and posting the service invoices? If so, I'll be your huckleberry.
