He'll likely be losing HP as we don't normally run 5k+ rpm up the grades. That and high altitudes will reduce HP with the Hemi. I don't know how high he'll be towing in the mountains. We did fine with Monteagle with 6% grade but no high altitudes. Like I said, I wouldn't want to tow more than 6k lbs with my 5.4L out west. Yes I went up 100 HP going from the 03 Cummins to the 05 Hemi. I could tow faster up the grades with the Hemi. It was just at 4200rpm instead of 2900rpm. Not a problem for me. Others panic. The OP has stated that he's towed with gassers before. Just throwing in my experience as well.
