I find that my 6.7 gets up to temp pretty quickly. If its cold outside I will start the truck and set the high-idle feature. By the time I go back inside, get the kids, get them in their car seats and get settled into the truck I usually have warm air. 4-5 minutes for warm air is about what it took my Tundra as well.
My friend has a 2016 with remote start. He will remote start it and its still cool 10 or 15 minutes later. I really think the high-idle is the key to warming up fast. Luckily my truck is 20 feet from my side door and way up my driveway, so I don't worry too much about theft!
Engage the EB with the high idle for even faster warm up. Works great!
