Dealer salesman said if the truck/car can pull the trailer across the parking lot, trailer isn't to big!

Looks like the pin could use a dab of grease. I don't do a pull test with the landing gear down. With the Reese I can see the pin flange and locked jaws. Just have to remember to put the latch on the release handle down so the pin doesn't walk the jaws open.

That's so true the pulling power is amazing.

Never have traded so soon but this one has everything I want.

My 2013 work f150 is an HD payload super crew with a 6 1/2 foot box. It has a payload rating of 2335lbs as per the door sticker. Plenty for a small 5th wheel. Payload ratings on the 2015s go up over 3000lbs with the aluminum body weight reduction.

My thought process was for the Newbie doing research.. Sends the wrong message...but I can see the whole demonstration...shop truck that moves the fivers around or something like that.

The video wasn't about matching truck/trailer weights.

What is a F150 doing with a 5th wheel hitch in bed of truck in the first place ?

Probably because it is setup for a small 5th wheel and they were using it for the demonstration!

Yeah I don't see how anyone seriously came away with the conclusion Curt was validating a F150 for a trailer that size.
