Hey JIMNLIN, appreciate the clarification on the Kumho 857 description of use.
I am still reading on the tire safety page. Really good information there. That page should be a link that pops up every time the word "tire" is used in a post. ;)
I guess I will start tracking the miles/pressures/temps of these Cooper FireStar 205/75R14 tires and see how long they last. It sucks that the top speed of this J rated tire is only 62 mph, but hey if it makes the tires last longer, I'm all for it. I just ordered some tire covers and will keep them covered to slow down the UV damage. We will see if I can get more than two years out of them.
I will monitor the tire temps and see just what they are with the camper fully loaded right after coming off the interstate. Be interesting to see how the FireStar ST tire temps compare to my 265/75R16 Cooper Discoverer ATP tires on my Xterra. (No, I did not put these tires on my Xterra. On it when I bought it used. No, I do not like them. They are loud. Soon as they wear out they are gone.)
